Singapore solar

Singapore’s high average solar irradiance per year makes it a prime candidate for solar power.

Thanks to its high solar irradiance, Singapore has an estimated photovoltaic capacity potential of 2 GW, but currently, only 630 MW of capacity are installed. Singapore’s limited area means that much of the solar capacity is limited to rooftop installations. Nevertheless, solar represents two thirds of the country’s renewable capacity.
