Follafoss

Follafoss is a hydro plant in Verran municipality. The old plant (26 MW) was in operation from 1923. In 2005 the new Follafoss Power Plant (44 MW) was commissioned. The new station is located inside the mountain next to the old plant. Follafoss is owned by Nord-Trøndelag Elektristetsverk (NTE) and this was their first power plant. Today NTE is a one of the major producers in Norway, supplying consumers with renewable energy from hydro and wind power plants.
