The Embretsfoss hydropower plant is located on the Drammen river, in the municipality of Modum in Buskerud, Norway.
The plant consists of four power stations. Embretsfoss I was commissioned in 1916, and Embretsfoss II in 1921. Embretsfoss I was then shut down in 1954,and that same year, Embretsfoss III started production. The entire plant was renovated in 2014 when Embretsfoss IV was commissioned, and the surrounding environment was cleaned up. Industrial pollution was disposed of and local hiking trails and other recreational facilities were established.
The power plant plant now has an annual power production of 335 GWh.
