The Borregaard hydropower plant is located at the Sarpsfossen waterfall in Norway. It is one of three power plants there, the others being Sarp and Hafslund. It was built in 1898 and it was Norway’s 3rd biggest power plant at the time. Since then, it has been reconstructed and refurbished several times. Thanks to an installed capacity of 51 MW, Borregaard has an annual production of 250 GWh.
