The two Årdal power plants, Øvre (upper) and Nedre (lower), are located in Gloppen municipality in Vestland County, Norway. Årdal Nedre is a run-of-river plant which utilises a drop of 184 metres in the river Årdalselva. The plant is equipped with two Pelton turbines with the total installed capacity of 2.8 MW. It has an annual power production of 8.3 GWh.
Årdal Øvre is also a run-of-river plant which utilises a drop of 377 meters in the river Årdalaelva. The plant is equipped with a Pelton turbine with the installed capacity of 3.5 MW and has an annual power production of 11.06 GWh.
