World Kinect Energy Services sources 100% renewable electricity for its operations in Europe and North America. Energy consumed in North American offices was sourced from wind farm in Iowa while that in European offices was sourced from Norwegian hydro. Additionally, for every MWh of renewable energy sourced by Kinect, 10 eurocents goes towards its supported project to eliminate energy poverty by installing renewable energy devices in remote areas with no electricity.

Renewable Energy Sourcing Philosophy

The production of renewable electricity is certified by Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs). These are the accepted legal instrument through which claims of renewable energy generation and consumption are substantiated in the global renewable energy market. There are different types of EAC for different regions of the world, and they are all in compliance with the quality criteria set by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol in the latest Scope 2 guidance document.
