FKF – Fossumfoss Kykkelsrud
FKF utilises a fall of 26.5 meters in Glomma, Norway’s longest river. With an installed capacity of 230 MW and an annual output of 1265 GWh, it is one of Norway’s largest run-of-river hydro plants. The construction of Kykkelsrud Power plant started in 1900 and the first phase with two generators was ready in 1903. In 1948 it had 12 generators with a total capacity of 60 MW. FKF meets the strict criteria set by the Swedish Eco-label Bra Miljøval.
